What's so great about good health?

 

Most things in our life come and go - money, neighbours, teachers, partners, workmates and even friends. Material assets can only be enjoyed by people that are healthy and happy. But our most valuable asset is our good healthy body. Health is something that can be with you for the rest of your life. If you protect and care for your body now, it will be your best guarantee for strong youthful possibilities in life as well as for a healthy and successful middle-age and Retirement. If you ‘invest' in your health, the out-going interest will be priceless!

 

It is never too late and you are never too old to improve your health. Food choices are always in front of you with every supermarket item you choose to put/not put into your trolley, with every fast food restaurant you choose to visit or drive past, with every choice of meal you choose to order/not to order while dining out. You always have the choice to allow for the healthy option or for a better choice than what you made in the past.

 

 

Patients often can not believe how much benefit they get out of the change in their Nutrition. We only have to look back in history to understand why this is a major part and such a powerful tool for any healing process or in preventative Medicine.

 

 

Keeping the fact that we only adjust 0.5% in 1 Million years in the back of our minds - Lets look at the following Evolutionary Steps:

 

  • 350-280,000 years ago the first "humans" appeared with a developed Cerebrum

           (Cerebrum = upper part of there brain).

  • 60,000 years ago Humans started to settle in different parts of the world
           (Away from the equator).
  • 45,000 years ago Humans discovered fire and made the first type of weapons
            (Discoveries prove this).
  • 12,000 years ago humans started to capture and imprison Animals for food
            (They did not breed them until later)***
  • 8,000-6,000 years ago Agriculture started
  • And last but not least, the evolution of processed food we now call the ‘Food Industry' only started approx 60 years ago!

 

 

So you see going back to eating what our ancestors were eating is what our bodies are still programmed to do, because our bodies will respond to any positive step in that direction.

 

 

*** This evolutionary misstep (eating meat) was caused by a lack/shortage of other available vegetal  nourishment. But we had to pay a high price for this misstep: the average life expectancy dropped down to 28 years!
