What's the Difference between Cold & Flu
Cold and Flu – Two Different Illnesses!
The common cold is an inflammation of mucous membranes caused by viruses, while influenza is an acute viral infection of the respiratory tract.
Some ways for you to know the difference between cold and flu symptoms:
Colds may cause:
v Nose and throat irritation
v Watery eyes
v Fever
v Chills and muscle aches
v Headaches
When you have the flu you may experience:
v High fever
v Abdominal pain
v Aching back, arms and legs
v Enlarged lymph glands
v Hoarse cough
Both conditions are spread through coughing and sneezing – we don’t catch a cold or flu as such, we allow them to catch us by neglecting our immune systems and ignoring early warning signs.
